First, our local chamber raised eyebrows when they lined up with DSA on Prop 5. That was just the start; they're teaming up again in support of a regressive sales tax bid to bail out floundering transit agencies. Proletaires de tous les pays, unissez-vous!

San Jose's Chamber of Commerce purports to advocate for local business and residents. You might not know it from their curious history of aligning with local far-left Democratic Socialists on key issues.

The latest: The Chamber came out in favor of the controversial Regional Transit Measure (RTM), which aims to bail out failing transit systems (VTA, BART, SF Muni, etc.) with a regressive regional sales tax increase.

In this, they are on the same page as local Democratic Socialists of America.

Worth noting: Authentic pro-business local advocacy groups such as the Silicon Valley Business Alliance and Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility oppose RTM.
